William Murray Hay

(Archdiocese of St. Andrews and Edinburgh) Born in Perth, 13th October 1891, the son of James Hay and Catherine Dolan; left, unordained, 9th October 1911; emigrated to Ceylon.

This student's full name was Robert William Murray Hay. He was born to Captain James Robertson Hay of the Royal Highlanders and Catherine Hay (nee Dolan) and, after leaving the college, emigrated to India. He became a military officer, serving in the 1/153 Punjabis and, after taking discharge from military service, became a tea planter in civilian life. He died on 27 April 1961 at Tellicherry, India.
